I am a qualified counsellor and supervisor and have been working with young people and families for over 30 years; I provide individual counselling for adults and young people as well as couple and dyadic family sessions. I also offer parenting sessions for parents managing challenging behaviour.

I specialise in adoption (an area that I have worked in for many years) as well as in relationship issues, whether this is you as an individual, a couple or part of a family unit.

My focus with you will be on trying to change patterns of behaviour (which have often developed from early experiences) and which may have become unhelpful over time. I often work with issues related to childhood trauma, adoption, relationship challenges, neurodiversity, separation and loss.

I am trained in psychosynthesis counselling and supervision; the psychosynthesis approach explores how thoughts and feelings affect our emotional and physical wellbeing. It considers how past experiences and patterns of behaviour can impact the present and can prevent us from living life to the full. I also draw on other therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic, family systems therapy, EMDR and CBT.
